ok, I started this blog with the name, The Book Tart. Then I decided as long as I was doing this why not crown myself queen right? So, I dubbed myself The Queen of Tarts and some of my friends said they would review for me too and came up with titles like Baron of Books and Maid of Tarts. I wanted art to fit the site and represent them. I immediately thought of Igor Lukyanov ! He’s the artist who made my pinup art for my Book Tart book marks. He’s a dream to work with and truly wanted to get my vision on paper.
I gave him a few pictures of me and some pictures of various queen of hearts costumes and said… ummm something like that-ish + plus pinup victory rolls in my hair! The look on my Queen of Tarts face is so very me. I love it!
Here’s my Queen of Tarts avatar
Stop by all week as I add the rest of my review court into the picture 😉

Court of Reviews profile
♥ Title: Queen of Tarts
♥ Name or nickname: Kat
♥ Fav snacks: Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids and dark chocolate m&ms…. Also I’m a fan of cheese 😛
♥ Something the Queen might not know:
Seeing as I’m The Queen <g> in my head of this little corner of the web… I sincerely hope I know me….pretty well-ish.
But you might not know that I am a huge fan of musicals. I love Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, The Sound of Music. I was in Bye Bye Birdie in high school. I sing all the time and I’m one of those people who notices the muzak in the mall and sings along if I know the song. 😉
♥ Dream destination: Ireland! Or somewhere I could just curl up with NO distractions and read and read… and nap.
♥ Superpower you wish you had: stop/slow time so I could read all the books I have waiting for me!
♥ Favorite genres: Romance! Right now I am really drawn to paranormal romance and urban fantasy but I’ve read more contemporary romances in the last 6 months than I’ve read in a few years! Also a fan of science fiction and fantasy… not so much with the straight mystery or general fiction genre and NO horror cause I’m a wimp!
♥ A few fav books… hmm Why did I ask this question? *head/desk* this changes all the time… But on my all time favs since I was a teen… Linda Howard’s Mr. Perfect, Judith McNaught’s Perfect, Katherine Stone’s Happy Endings. Those are all contemporary romances that are like my fav blanket and I curl up and re-read them at least once a year.
More recent additions to my favs pile… Ilona Andrews Magic Bites cause it introduced me to Kate, Nalini Singh’s Slave to Sensation same reason… introduced me to her world building, Jeaniene Frost Halfway to the Grave, Kat and Bones, ‘nough said. Jim Butcher’s Storm Front where I started my love affair with Harry…
♥ A quote or two:
“Like “love,” “hope” is one of those ridiculously disproportional words that by all rights should be a lot longer”
~ Turn Coat by Jim Butcher ~
She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain. (1873)
