Today is Sarah Nicolas’ book birthday! I absolutely positively adore book birthdays (cupcakes!) and more importantly I LOVE this cover and the title (Dragons Are People, Too) and then I read the synopsis and except *waves down* See? I need to know more about Kitty the dragon and how she evades the bad guys. Enjoy!

I need romance… It’s not just that I like to read romances. I NEED them. Novels with love stories are full of hope and they encourage me to dream and not give up or give in to the doom and gloom that pervades our world. I stumbled upon Annie Rose Welch last year and I am so thankful I did. Her stories are poetic, sad, happy, (hot!), and woven through with love. Queen of Tarts review of
by Annie Rose Welch
Once again as I read the last page of a story by Annie Rose Welch I am in a bit of a daze. Her words sing and dance in my head along with her characters. The Crossroads IS the crossroads, the intersection of some of the plot lines that captured my heart from her very first novel. I was aching for this story. This is Gabriel and Eva’s story as much as it’s Catalina and Raphael’s… It’s a story of love, loss, fate, forgiveness and choice.

La Revenant’s Review of
Dead Over Heels
by Alison Kemper,
“That sound they (zombies) make – “Rawwwrrr!” – it’s like T-Rex crossed with a dying cow.” (Dead Over Heels, Alison Kemper, p. 20)
Dead Over Heels was a fun teen zombie novel with a bit of a twist. The characters were well written and they developed and grew over the course of the story. There was action, drama, and love. Alison Kemper has a delightful writing style that I enjoyed immensely.

It’s like another present for me! My girl La Revenant already devoured Dead Over Heels and I’ll have her review up this week. (she loved it btw). Check them out and see if they strike your fancy too.

You know how there are times in your life when you stumble upon something that is so great that you just want to savor it and hold it close and not share it? That is how I feel about Buster Voodoo. It is a book I can sit down and reread and still become enthralled in the story.

Queen of Tarts Review of
by Annie Rose Welch
Marigny Street. I am not even sure how to begin telling you about this story… It’s a love story. It has a paranormal flavor… It’s unexpected and rather unusual and yet… I was completely enveloped. I read it in one sitting. And a day later I’m still thinking about Eva and Gabriel’s story.

I finished reading Marigny Street by Annie Rose Welch earlier today and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. *sigh* Marigny Street is one of the most beautiful, lyrical, poetic and romantic stories I have ever read… Seriously!
I was re-reading and highlighting passages and dreaming and picturing this story unfolding in my imagination. Eva and Gabriel’s love story has captured my heart. Click HERE for my review.
Enjoy the excerpt and make sure you enter Annie’s contest too. 🙂 I hope Marigny Street stirs your curiosity and you give this magical journey and try too.

ooooo becoming a monster wasn’t the plan. I am so intrigued by Nely Cab’s Creatura series and the cover for her upcoming release Fruit Of Misfortune is what made me read more about her paranormal YA world. I want to learn more about Isis and her journey… Take a look at the cover and see if it peaks your interest too.
