I am so happy to have Jennifer Bernard back on my virtual couch! She is a darling and a dear and she writes yummy contemporary romance with what I consider a perfect mixture of heart and heat. *sigh* I vlogged my love of the first book in this series (in a polka dot wiggle dress!) Click HERE
I just got my copy of Sex and the Single Fireman from the UPS guy yesterday… I nearly mugged him! I am so looking forward to reading this book. The heroine, Sabina, is a firefighter. 😀
Sooo, please, curl up and listen in on my chat with Jennifer. There’s a lot of champagne and firemen involved. <g>
The end of a month brings a boat load of new releases! There’s over 400 print and ebooks listed for todays date! And there are a few I’ve already preodered and a few that are on my list now that I’ve looked at the database. 🙂 Is there a new book you are excited about today?
I am so happy to help Lorena celebrate her book birthday today with the release of The X! It’s out today! oops!@ It’s out the end of the week! *Snoopy Dance* I don’t often read books from the thriller genre but I was lucky enough to read a review copy and I raced through this book. It’s a fast paced adventure that kept me on the edge of my seat rooting for the heroine Clarissa to kick butt and take back her life! Click HERE for my review.
Lorena is hanging out with me today on my interview couch eating M&Ms and chatting about Bond and Orphan Annie hair and more. 🙂 Oh! She’s giving on lucky commenter a copy of The X! Use the rafflecopter at the end of this chat to enter.
I am in Montana on my vacation! *Snoopy Dance* I’m staying with my parents and brother in the house I grew up in. 😀 and I’m sleeping in my old bedroom. It’s so nice to be here. 😀 Sooo, I’m going to try and keep this short. I’ve been busy shopping with my mom, watching movies with my brother and hanging with my dad. My family rocks!
Ummm… <g> It’s Tuesday again and I’m actually in a town that has 2, count ’em! 2 book stores! There’s a Barnes and Noble AND a Hastings Books. I’m going shopping sometime today because I can. 😛
I am using a painfully slow internet connection in the Caribbean to write this so it will be shortish. I know! I know! poor poor pitiful me! 😛
I am so excited about what’s in store for this upcoming year. There are some new things coming soon to The Book Tart… Like the wish list *sigh* soon! I hope. *head/desk*
All this week I am revealing the custom art for my Court of Reviews! I love the work. Click HERE to see.
Oh! ok, I knew January 1st had a LOT of new releases, it’s a Tuesday. But I didn’t realize that December 31st had lots too! I’ll know better next year. There were over 250 titles released yesterday! Click HERE
Click HERE 900+ titles in the database for today! If 90 pages of books seems a bit overwhelming (it does!) you can view the pages with more books on them. I actually use the |show pages starting at 1| function on the upper left and request… honestly? all 900 and then sit and scroll through them. 😉 I also use the Advanced Search function to make the list more manageable.
I’m looking for a good meme to join to share my book buying obsession… but of course I didn’t think of that till now and the ones I found you are supposed to be signed up by 12am Saturday and I’m too, too, too late for this post! <g> Have you read Eloise at the Plaza? It’s a great children’s book written by Kay Thompson and the nanny repeats many things three times. Whenever I repeat things I think of that… But I got off track. I do that a lot. My thoughts are like bunnies and don’t behave themselves and often go off on rabbit trails. 🙂 I was going to show you my new books.
Well, if you remember from last Saturday and my vlog on Andrew Shaffer’s Fifty Shames of Earl Grey, I said I was going to buy it, and I did, plus a few more.
Sooo, all these books added to my massive To Be Read pile, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and I hope to get to them soon. This website has been a dream for me, to have a place to share my passion for fiction and to have a database to browse through new books by date, but it’s a lot more fracking work than I ever imagined! <g> I need to learn to manage my time better and get back to reading as much as I used to. Right now I’m lucky to finish 2 or 3 books a week when I used to get 5-6 read. *sigh* this learning curve threw off my groove man!
Oh! I also bought Shiloh Walker’s newest ebook written as J.C. Daniels. When it comes out in print I will buy that too. I loved this urban fantasy novel and to get the word out I am having a contest. Click here to enter. The more entries I get the more books I’ll give out. I am hoping to intrigue more readers to try the book and fall in love with it like me so there will be sequels! :p
I want a fireman! <g> I finally read Jennifer Bernard’s The Fireman Who Loved Me and I am regretting not snagging it from my TBR pile earlier. I mostly read PNR and UF but have just recently began adding some contemporary romance back in the mix. I soooo enjoyed this book! The characters are very well developed and felt real. I loved watching the dance between Melissa and Captain Brody. The dialogue is witty and snarky and fun and there is some steamy fun in this story too. I blazed through the book and am excited that I have book 2, Hot For Fireman waiting for me and I just checked Jennifer’s site http://jenniferbernard.net/extras.php and book 3 is scheduled for January 2013!
I read Blade Song one afternoon last week and didn’t want the book to end. It’s that good. I love urban fantasy, worlds that are recognizable but have fantasy elements like magic, shape changers and vampires to name a few… plus desserts with zero calories (I made that up :p I would totally pack up and move to a fantasy world where that was true! 🙂 )
This book was written by one of my long time fav authors Shiloh Walker. She writes delicious contemporary and paranormal romance including The Hunter’s series and now she’s adding to her resume writing under the pseudonym of J.C. Daniels. The books written under the J.C. Daniels name will be urban fantasy and occasionally erotic romance titles. Her first urban fantasy title is Blade Song and the heroine started out in a short story you can read here it’s called A Stroke of Dumb Luck and Kit just wouldn’t stop telling her story to Shiloh, sooo she had to write more. Yay! I’m all for it! <g> More Shiloh to love!
Wow! There are so many great books coming out today 😀 I have a few of them of pre-ordered and I might go search my local grocery store to see what books they got in. <g> If you live near an actual book store, treasure it! ;p I have to search my grocery store, Walmart and Target to see what I can find. My closest book store is 2 hours away from me… *boo* Well, enough complaining! There is so much to be grateful for today. One of the things I’m thankful for is how many book releases there are. I love choices and today is a veritable smorgasbord (does that make you think of the rat Templeton from Charlotte’s Web? Yep, me too.) Click here to go to the list of 150+ books out today. I would love, love, love it if you would drop me a line if I’m missing a new book. Please Contact Me with new book release info… even ebooks, though the database still doesn’t include those, it’s coming soon-ish :p
Today is the final day for my Celebrate July contest, please click here to enter for your chance at a prize pack with 4 books plus fun swag 🙂
