Rob Seablue And The Eye Of Tantalus YA Fantasy Spotlight + Excerpt

Welcome to my stop on Russell Hasan’s tour for his young adult book “Rob Seablue and the Eye of Tantalus” 😉 I have a fun excerpt. <g> I was reading it as I made this post and now I’m curious to see how Rob will defeat the evil eye and the Hator Gator!
Check out teen sorcerer Rob Seablue and his adventures stopping the evil that has captured his best friend. It looks like a wild ride!

I was hooked first by the cover. Yes, I’m shallow. 😛 Covers do matter. I love this cover with it’s atmospheric fog, blue and silver colors and the mysterious man in the rather great coat. 🙂 Then I read the synopsis and decided to give the story a try, so I bought the kindle book. I’d never read Lacy and didn’t know what to expect.

The Book Tart Episode 26 ~ Review of City of Dark Magic

I’m still in the Caribbean. 😉 We were on a boat all day today. Playing in the sun is exhausting! <g> Anyway. This vlog was filmed right before I left on this trip (before Christmas) I will be home on Sunday and back to the cold of winter in the mountain… *shiver*

I really enjoyed City of Dark Magic by Magnus Flyte aka Meg Howrey and  Christina Lynch. I’m a huge fan of silly and this story is a magical mashup of clever prose, hither and yon historical factoids, magic, mystery, mayhem and a wildly irreverent mix of genres. I didn’t take it too seriously and City of Dark Magic gave me a roller coaster ride that left me a bit dizzy when I put down the book. I read it in one day and want another book like it. I had a blast! 😀
