I absolutely positively love Lanie Jordan’s young adult series! I would say for ages 14-101 😛 I love urban fantasy and I got sucked into her Breed Chronicles world and I adore her heroine Jade! I made a vlog review for her brand new book Breed of Envy and then I put on a lab coat and fauxmo’d my hair and dragged the Baron of Books into helping me out via the phone to make a character skit. Enjoy!

Oh wow! I LOVED Breed of Envy! I am a urban fantasy fan and when I stumbled across Lanie Jordan months ago on twitter I bought her first book, Breed of Innocence and have been anxiously awaiting Breed of Envy. It was worth the wait!
I made a vlog review for Lanie’s book birthday, and a character interview too. *Snoopy Dance* Click HERE. *whispers* I also made a character vid…I wear a lab coat!
We LOVE books. We’re crazy for books and boys. So we decided Valentine’s week was a great time to share some of our favorite guys and asked their authors to join in the fun. Each of the paricipating authors has interviewed their guy and a few of them wrote limericks too! Some are very, very good and some are deliciously bad. The boys are from a variety of fiction genres, Romance, Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Erotic Romance, Urban Fantasy, Sci-fi, Steampunk, New Adult and YA ….but they all have guys we heart!

Breed of Innocence is a young adult novel by Lanie Jordan. But <g> I know lots of adults who read YA and teens who don’t stick with young adult fiction… Really, it’s all about the story. And this is a good one. I loved this book! Jade is a very relatable heroine. I enjoyed her thought process and how she looked at situations. I felt that she was very strong and courageous. She’s been through a horrible trauma that left her family dead. Yes, she wants revenge for the horror that has changed her life. But she’s living in foster care and just trying to survive it till she’s 18 and can really try to track down the thing that devastated her life.
“I’m a sixteen-year-old living in a group home because no one wanted me. I’ve got ‘authority issues’—” I used air quotes. “—a bad temper, and an awesome attitude that no one else seems to think is all that awesome.”
I am ecstatic to have Lanie Jordan visit The Book Tart… I might not ever let her leave *practices my evil laughter* *cough! cough* She is sweet and snarky and very helpful and nice and she’s up super late and answers my questions in the middle of the night AND she’s writes brilliantly! I LOVE her young adult novel Breed of Innocence. I had bought it before I even really knew who she was, I just liked the synopsis. I’m so glad I did. It has creative, fascinating world building and a relatable heroine. I want more. Yesterday! I will post my review tomorrow 🙂
Sooo, settle it. Grab some snacks and listen in on our visit….
