I LOVE my Amy Lane. She of the angsty, colorful, love filled stories that remind me love is worth fighting for. I was lucky enough to pounce on Amy in 2013 at the Romantic Times convention and she’s just as warm and wonderful in person as I imagined. Merry Ménage Hop Day 6 Guest post by Amy Lane! + Contest

It’s day 6 of our Merry Ménage Hop. I am so happy to welcome Amy Lane back to The Book Tart. *whispers* I kinda stalk her and she was my second ever interview. Click HERE in you’re curious how she handled that.

Amy is a delight and a joy. I have loved her gift for stories since I picked up her urban fantasy Little Goddess series back in 2009 and I have followed her from her self publishing roots to more traditionally published books. I love the emotion and heart that fill her stories whether they are urban fantasy, contemporary or fantasy M/M Romance, paranormal M/F/M or if she decided to write a phone book (or a CRAFT book) I’d read that too. 😀 Oh! She has another book out this month! It’s a steampunky batman angsty mashup called Under The Rushes.

I follow Amy’s blog http://writerslane.blogspot.com/ (it helps with the stalking err keeping up with authors when they have a blog) It’s official title is Yarning to Write cause she is very crafty. <g> That infiltrates her stories and I can think of a few characters in her books who are involved in textile arts too. She actually influenced my interest in yarn and I’ve started to collect purty yarns and knit a little bit… If I make the Stanley hat, I’ll post pics.

Also, scroll down to the bottom and use the Rafflecopter for a chance to win a $25 gift card and Amy’s newest book Turkey in the Snow! If you’ve already entered The Book Tart giveaway, you can enter again by telling us if you make any gifts for the holidays;) If you’ve entered the $30 giveaway please don’t enter that one again. 😀

Christmas is when and I have to make a what?

by Amy Lane

You all know what the downside is, right?

Yes, sure, you work hard, become a proficient crafter—you’re justly proud.  You develop the two bag system—the bag you work from home and the bag you take with you, in case you get bored–in the drive thru line, at the supermarket, at the park, at that movie your tween dragged you to so–just you didn’t have to miss that life force you squandered and would never get back.

You’ve represented.  And now everybody believes it.  You’re a crafter—a knitter, a crocheter, a yarner.

Hot Summer Nights Giveaway Hop + Interview + excerpt with Amy Lane!

the book nympho

What a fun hop idea! Thank you to Bona Fide Reflections and The Book Nympho for putting this hop together. 🙂

They ask… Is there a book or a series that gets you all hot and bothered? A hot couple or hero/heroine that makes you all melty? Are you left wanting more or completely satisfied after your read?

Amy Lane’s Little Goddess series immediately came to my mind. I love, love, love these books. I ordered the first book, Vulnerable, from Amazon in 2009 and had to order all the sequels available at that time Wounded and Bound. Since then Amy has released the fourth book, Rampant and some companion stories too. *sigh* I am so in love with Cory and company. So in love with them that I’ve bought this series multiple times, in print for me and a friend and in ebook too.

I asked Amy if she would be my second ever  interview for The Book Tart and she graciously said yes! She Rocks! 🙂 She also gave me a yummy excerpt from Vulnerable. It’s the scene when Cory meets Adrian. *daydreaming* OK I’m back! And as an extra bonus she also is letting me share a short story (click here) set in The Little Goddess world too! I <3 Amy!

The prize for this hop is an ebook of Vulnerable.

(if you own it already, then another title from her books )

Entry form and the link to the other participating blogs is at the bottom of this post.

This contest  runs from July 18th, 12:01 am EST to July 22nd, 11:59 pm EST. The winner will be chosen using Rafflecopter and contacted via email and on The Book Tart and will have 48 hours to contact me regarding their choice of ebook from Amy.

Christmas in July with a short story from Amy Lane

Amy Lane gave me a short Little Goddess Christmas story that she has posted on her site (there are other free stories too)  for me to share here on The Book Tart. Cocklebur’s Christmas is set after Rampant, book 4 in the series, but really it is a peak into Green’s past. It contain strong language (the swears lol) and an m/m elements. I love seeing the relationship between Cory and Green and it makes me miss them more. Write faster Amy! Please click HERE to go to the Hot Summer Nights giveaway post with a fun excerpt from Vulnerable, an interview with Amy and a chance to win Vulnerable (one of my all time fav books!) or if you already own that, pick another book from her backlist. 🙂
