Me: Darling! You’re back *Kermit flail* Yay! Happy late book birthday hon! Blood In The Valley is here 😀 I love book birthdays and keep a supply of cupcakes on hand for parties. Oh! Sit down and grab a cupcake hon.
J.K. : Don’t get me started! It’s embarrassing how many cupcakes I could eat. And what I wouldn’t eat, my dogs would steal.
Me: *noms cupcake* soooo finally after waiting and waiting ages (not that long actually- but it felt like it!) the 2nd story in your paranormal romance Vigilati series is here. *bounces on couch* I needed it and Blood In The Valley didn’t disappoint. Can you share a bit about your newest story… and what you’re working on next? *puppy eyes*
J.K.: Blood in the Valley takes place in my home state of North Carolina, up in the mountains which is one of my favorite places to be. Raven, the heroine, raised by an alcoholic con artist with a heart of gold, is a badass motorcycle riding, breaking and entering chick. She’s also a witch—but she doesn’t know it. She only knows that she has powers.
She meets Dr. Drew Deveraux in her quest to find out more about her family history. Drew is a slightly nerdy, slightly OCD, hot professor with trust issues to rival Raven’s. They try to fight their attraction as they combat the forces of evil but, of course, they can’t fight it for long!
That’s all you get for now, check out Blood in the Valley for more!
Me: *nods emphatically* Yes! do eeeiiittt 😀
J.K.: My next project is the third book in the series, and I’m playing it very close to the vest with information. All I can say is it is very cerebral, very angsty—much deeper and darker.
Me: ooohhhh I can’t wait!
ok hon… We’ve already done The Book Tart Quickie… How about ummm my Nosy Nine ?
The Nosy Nine
1. Can you cartwheel?
Heck yeah I can. And a round-off too!
2. What’s your birthday?
My birthday is the day each year when I get a little younger. Right? J/k! It’s February 5th. We’re a family of winter babies. My hubs is also in February and my son’s is January.
<g> I like how you think!
3. Do you like puzzles?
It depends on what kind. The kind with actual puzzle pieces? No, because I don’t have that kind of patience. Puzzles like crosswords or word searches? Oh yeah.
4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Honestly I have no idea. More than I should, but less than I used to, I guess. I love how shoes look but I don’t really like wearing them, so you’ll most likely find me barefoot or in flip flops.
5. Dream/crush male celeb?
LOL, I have a lot of them. My hubby and I joke about having a “list” and we critique the celebs on each other’s lists. But anyone who knows me even remotely well would give you the same answer: Robert Downey Jr. *Sigh*
6. What’s your favorite condiment?
Hmm… ranch dressing. No, mayonnaise. No, soy sauce! No, shrimp sauce! I like food.
rotflol LOVE you!
7. What color are your panties? 😛
Black today. They are very unsexy hanes bikinis.
8. How tall are you… for real?
9. What’s your favorite flavor of Pringles?
Original, actually. The weird part is, I like to lick the salty side first. I like food. 😉 Actually found out from Larissa Ione on Twitter that they have crazy flavors like chicken and waffles. I want to try the Sriracha ones!
😯 really?! I’ll try those with you and we could live tweet it 😛
Thanks Sweetie for answering my nosy questions and hanging out with me on my virtual couch.
