Me: PG! Hey hon 😀 Thank you so much for popping into The Book Tart! Come on in and get cozy on my red velvet interview couch. *singing* Happy Book Birthday to you… cha cha cha ;D Now Comes The Night is here! I love the cover, it’s so pretty! Oh! Can I get you anything to drink? Coffee, tea, soda… a celebratory mimosa?

P.G. Oooh, I have a special fondness for red couches. And, thank you, a mimosa sounds lovely. It was my actual birthday last week too, so it’s extra nice to be here and celebrating with you. Oh, and, yes, I adore my shiny new cover. Did you see the next one in the series? It’s also gorgeous! I just want to bow down and kiss Kanaxa’s feet every time I see her. That’s the cover artist, by the way. And I’m sure you know how Pisces feel about feet. 😉AshesOfTheDay300

Me: oooooh Ashes Of  The Day is delicious! lol I would help you kiss her feet 😉

*hands PG her drink and collapses on the couch* gaaahhh this week is busy busy busy! How are you? Did you do something silly for your new release like buy ummm a snow globe or shot glass or something?

P.G. : Nope.  Nothing silly. I went out to breakfast and later my daughter baked me a cake. Of course, there was champagne in there as well…but there’s nothing silly about that.

Me:*clinks mimosa flutes* nope! nothing silly about that. *giggles*

Tell me a bit about your Children Of Night series and your newest story please…. *snuggles into couch and munches a slice of coffee cake* please help yourself to the nummy coffee cake.

photoP.G. :Coffee cake, huh? I can see you and Damian would get along very well, he loves to bake.  Okay, let’s see…what can I tell you about this series? It’s all my daughter’s fault. She’s the one who wanted me to write about vampires.  I wanted to make them as realistic as possible. So my vampires can go out during the day, they just don’t like it. They can see their reflection in mirrors, holy water doesn’t burn them. They don’t like garlic, because it acts as a blood thinner—and that’s not good. They don’t have to sleep in their native soil, but they don’t like air travel, either, because it dehydrates them—again, it’s a blood thing.

When I started writing the series, I had a very different idea of where I was going to go with it, then Conrad happened. He had his own ideas and Damian had even more ideas and before I knew what had happened, they’d kind of taken over. They do that.

Now Comes the Night is the third book in the series. It and the fourth book, Ashes of the Day, started out as one book that was supposed to focus primarily on the twins and their childhood and what it was like for them growing up as vampires and also what it was like for Conrad and Damian as parents. But that all got too long and I had to split it into two books…which means I got a second extra-scrumptious book cover. Really not complaining.

This story was so much fun to write and now I can’t wait to delve into the fifth book in the series.

Me: I love that! I adore that your daughter inspired you to write vampires… and you made them uniquely yours! 😀 And yes *nods*

What’s up next for you hon *expectant look* sci-fi? Steampunk? Paranormal? You must have a beautiful chaotic mind lol You come up with intricate, emotional and varied plots!

P.G. : Well, as I said, I’m raring to get to work in book five, but first I have to finish my current WIP (work in progress). I’m currently working on another erotic holiday ménage story. Last year’s was a sci-fi, this year it’s Celtic fantasy. I’m only giving myself another couple of weeks to work on it, however, because those vampires are getting impatient.

Me:Oh! I love holiday stories 😀 Celtic will be fun!

*sigh* We’re going to keep this short and sweet cause I’m a spazz and didn’t prepare very well for your visit… except the coffee cake. 😛

P.G. : And the mimosas. Which are very good, by the way. I’ll take another, if you don’t mind.

Me: *tops off our champagne glasses* There hon.

Let’s play madlibs though. Nope, not telling what it is. *hiccup* You can make your answers as naughty or nice as you’d like 😀

P.G. : Wow, I haven’t played that in years! Okay, here we go…

Vampire gloves

Race car drivers

Me: *bounces on couch* ooohhh this will be good 😀

P.G. : Can’t wait to see what we’ve come up with. lol!

Adult Mad Libs

Manners 101

You’ve come to a SLIPPERY realization: His manners are really RED. When he picks you up, he leans on the VIBRATOR , instead of coming to the LEATHER for you. He kisses your mother on the BICEP when he meets her and insults her CAVIAR to boot! When you go out to dinner, he never opens the LINGERIE for you and always walks through the VAMPIRE GLOVES ahead of you. He has never once pulled out a BATHTUB for you and worst of all, he picks his Tongue at the table and gets into HARD arguments with all the RACE CAR DRIVERS… But all in all, he has potential: He’s REPEATEDLY bright, he’s single — The perfect gentleman!

Me: Kisses your mother on the bicep! bwahahaha 😀 leans on the *snort* Vibrator! He really shouldn’t argue with race car drivers either 😛

Before we say goodbye… there’s time for The Book Tart Quickie

  1. Can you build a house of cards?:   I think I did it once…or maybe I just wrote about it. Sometimes it’s hard to keep those things straight. 😉
  2. Have you ever bought anything from ebay?  Oh, hell, yeah.  I just bought a portable sauna a few weeks ago.
  3. Favorite lipgloss/lipstick?:  peppermint.  What you don’t have any edible lipgloss?
  4. What horror fiction character scares you the most?:  Anything. I’m the world’s biggest wimp.
  5. Last book your read?:  Bound to the Beast by Kay Berrisford.
  6. Do you sing in the car?:  Sadly, yes.
  7. Whats your favourite Sci-fi film/program etc? :  Logan’s Run. An oldie but a goodie.
  8. Do you suck or bite lollipops? Suck.
  9. Whats the most unusual name you’ve ever come across? You really don’t want to know this. I’m going to ruin this question for you forever. I’d say it’s a tie between Destination (yes. I swear I am not making this up) and Anesthetist. Destination has a twin sister named Destiny and Anesthetist has a brother named Doctor.  ROTFLOL Best Answer ever! *snort*

Home is where the heart bleeds. Children of the Night, Book 3

Growing up, vampire-born twins Julie and Marc Fischer were taught one simple fact of life: you can choose your food, but not your family. Six months after moving to San Francisco, though, the new challenges and choices each are facing are a Gordian knot of complicated. Marc must decide whether to stay with Conrad and Damian, the only family he’s ever known, or embrace his destiny and the unexpected family—the ferals—that comes along with it. Meanwhile, Julie is forced to deal with the unpleasant realization that the man she loves isn’t necessarily the man who’s best for her. For Conrad and Damian, the holiday season is stirring up bittersweet memories, and neither can keep from revisiting past passion and pain. Faced with new mysteries to solve, new alliances to forge, new secrets to keep, and old relationships to rebuild, it’s no wonder the Fischer-Quintano vampires long for the good old days—when food was food and family was all that mattered.

Warning: If you’ve previously suffered from Disco Fever, this book could precipitate a relapse. Extreme care is recommended for anyone with a pronounced weakness for mistletoe, fang play, pretty young men of either species or extremely dangerous alpha-male vampire single dads. May contain trace amounts of polyester.

More P.G.

Love without Limits, Romance without Rules! Life’s more fun when you play outside the lines.

I wrote my first serialized story when I was still in my teens. The sexy, adventure tales were very popular at my oh-so-proper, all girls, Catholic High School, where they helped to liven up otherwise dull classes.

Even if my teachers didn’t always think so.

A lot of years have passed since then, but I’m still at it, penning novels and novellas in the romantic suspense, psychic fiction and erotic romance and paranormal genres.

Originally a Jersey Girl, I currently reside on the Extreme Left Coast. When I’m not pestering my husband for his help in researching scenes for my books, or being entertained by my two vastly amusing adult children, I can be found serving the needs and whims of either my characters or my cats.

It’s a thankless job, but someone’s gotta do it.
