Banner-Extra2Me: Cora! *squee!* you’re here! Come in, come in. I’m delighted to meet you. I’ve been playing around on your website and kinda… not really stalking you… um research! Yep *nods head* I like to prepare for my guests. So um… If I haven’t scared you away, take a seat on my cozy virtual couch and lets chat books and boys.

Cora: *Laughs* Hi Kat! *sits and sinks into couch* It’s so lovely to be here and it’s great to meet you! *Eyes the coffee table and licks lips*

Me: *plops down on couch* I have snacks, please feel free to grab a brownie or candy *waves hand at coffee table* I’m rather a sugar junkie. How are you doing doing? This is your first book right? Anything surprise you about becoming a published author?

Cora: Mmm…Brownies – my favourite. Thanks. *takes a brownie* The thing that has surprised me the most is the browniesamount of people that have read it already. I’m wowed and didn’t expect it so it’s kind of gobsmacking. Another surprise for me was the time that I spent online after it was published. I thought – I’ll publish it and then sit back and write the next book. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I’m a mum of four so I thought my life was busy before, but now – it’s crazy! I wouldn’t change it though – *smiles wickedly* keeps me out of trouble. *Munches brownie* Mmm…thish ish good.

Me: *noms* Shew *swallows* SO can you share a bit about Rocked Under and Emma and Scott? *daydreams* Oh! I’m back, <g> I kinda have a thing for musicians.

Cora: Emma has just moved to the US from England and wants a fresh start. She doesn’t want a relationship at all and she vows never to fall in love. Scott is the lead singer in a rock band. He’s a mixture of hard and soft, and the ladies love him. He’s never been in a relationship but he feels something for Emma almost straight away.

rocked under cover jpegRocked Under is about two people that have both been hurt in the past by things that they had no control over. RU explores what happens when these two bruised characters come together. Friendship, lust, pain, anger, love, jealousy and DRAMA are all things you will find in Emma and Scott’s story. It’s intense, angsty and full of tension.

Me: Angsty? Yes! And I loved it! I was in knots and tied up in the journey of Emma and Scott. I love that you’re not done! How goes the sequel? *munches brownie* Anything you can share and what other writing projects you have in mind?

Cora: I’m working on it and, so far it’s going well. *takes another brownie* I don’t want to let too much go but I can tell you that it will be set in the present. Emma and Scott are older, wiser *smiles* and there are new challenges for them. As for other writing projects, I’m always having new ideas that kind of flit through my head and I’m looking forward to starting something new. I have paranormal and fantasy stories that I started years ago but never finished so I might want to finish them. I’m not sure yet.

Me: OK darling, We’ve come to the incredibly deep and serious part of my interview… Sometimes I make people cry…. with laughter! 😛

Have you ever gone skinny dipping? What your favorite flavor cupcake? Did you have a Mohawk? Do you collect anything? *gasps for breath and looks expectantly at Cora*

Cora: *laughing*

If you live and grow up by the beach, skinny dipping a few times in your life becomes inevitable. I think I was two or something.

Lemon cupcakes. No wait! Chocolate ones. Agh! Can’t decide. Can I choose both?

Mohawk? *Quickly pulls out phone and googles mohawk* Ah, a mohican hairstyle? I’ve never had one but my son likes to gel his hair into one.

I don’t collect anything but I do have a lot of boots.

Me: ophoto (1)oohhh lemon cupcakes are very yummy too. I agree. ummm I popped a pic up to show you my pretend mohawk. Short hair plus lots of product! lol

I just made up a word gymnodrivess please make up a definition and use the word in a sentence. 😛

Cora: gymnodrivess definition: A female who prefers to drive naked.

Sentence: Avert your eyes – here comes a gymnodrivess!

Me:*snort* I can visualize that too. lol

We’re gonna play a game of Madlibs… nope, not telling what it is. You can make your answers as naughty or nice as you’d like 😀

Cora: Ooh! I’ve never played this before…

Me: *claps hands* ooh goodie!

Adult Mad Libs

The Perfect Speciman

The key to the SALTY man is his BOTTOM. Without it, he’s just another unemployed RABBIT. He should have a PERKY mind, broad FINGERTIPS, athletic EYEBROWS, LONG eyes, a thick SKIN, and a mouth as juicy as a HADDOCK. He should also have style as hip as tom-hardyTOM HARDY, as sense of humor as sharp as a SUMMER, a KNEE that’s not bigger than yours, hands as big as BUSHES, and a BELLYBUTTON that goes on forever. But under no circumstances should he ever be unkind to a four-legged WALL or be impolite to your BRIGHT mother. Really, you’re just looking for a dead ringer for jacobyJACOBY SHADDIX. Is that too much to ask?

Me: lol I do like a man’s backside 😀 and athletic eyebrows… or the ones that can quirk one eyebrow? love that! lol a mouth as juicy as a haddock! bwahahaha! love it!

Falling in love isn’t always easy or pleasant. The intense and angst-filled story of Emma and Scott is a painful, gut-wrenching and exhausting portrayal of how hard it can be to let go… Picking up the pieces and starting again in the US, Emma enrols in college with her cousin, Ashley. She is finally free to do what she wants and live how she chooses, and no man will ever rule her decisions or emotions again. That is, until Scott Mason walks on stage… Intense bad boy Scott is the lead singer of a popular local rock band. A ladies’ man and Ashley’s long-time friend, Scott holds an instant fascination for Emma — she finds herself drawn to him, even though he represents everything she hates and needs to stay away from in a guy. He treats females like he does a cigarette — light it, use it, and lose it.  For her cousin’s sake, Emma makes an effort to get along with Scott, but she soon discovers that there is more to him than first appears, making him even more dangerous in her eyes. Behind the façade of friendship, jealousy, obsession, fear and insecurity fester — an internal battle rages as she fights her attraction and does everything she can to stop history from repeating itself. One thing she knows for sure is that if she breaks her rule, it may destroy her.

Warning: Contains mature content — recommended age 17+.
