The Fae Ring
by C.A. Szarek
I’ve been eagerly waiting for C.A. Szarek’s sequel to The Tartan MP3 Player and a chance to revisit the world of the Highland Secrets series. The Fae Ring is book 2 and it’s a delicious mixture of paranormal and historical romance. Janet has been the lady of the castle since her mother died years before. She’s had responsibility and sense of place… but now her brothers are married and she is feeling lost… Where does she fit in now. She is happy for her siblings and their loves but… she is sad at her loneliness too. I empathized with her immediately and ached for her to find a life partner… a mate.
Queen of Tarts Review of
Fight For You
by Magan Vernon
Fight For You by Magan Vernon wasn’t the story I expected… and that’s not a bad thing. It’s dark and gritty. A little bit different than I normally read.. and honestly, I’ve been in a sappy mood. But I read it in one sitting and was compelled by the hero to witness his fight… for his family, for his love and for himself.
*sigh* I’ve been having a rather rough time recently and I NEEDED this. I needed C.A. Szarek’s novella The Tartan MP3 Player to suck me into it’s story and give me a bit of timey-wimey escape and it did. I loved that it was time travel with highlanders and fairies and love and adventure and I am excited that it’s the first in her new series! Check it out. *waves down* then click HERE for my review.
Happy Book Birthday to Magan Vernon! *Kermit Flail* Cupcakes and confetti for her new release Fight For You and for the Mafia prince who has to fight for his girl. The tag line “All Nicky has ever wanted to do was fight. Now all he has to do is fight for her.” made me sigh. I am intrigued by Nicky and Jackie and want to meet them!

Oooooo That’s what I said when I saw Brenda Rothert’s latest cover. Check out Now And Forever *waves down*. I love the warn pink glow and the hint of naughty with the view under the dress. 😉 I also am intrigued by the tag line “It’s time for happily ever after, or is it?” I like when series continue past the “I love yous” and show what happens next.
