Sweet Texas Fire

by Nicole Flockton

Gage Cooper is an oil businessman, Charlotte Wilkinson an environmental analyst, even though these two have never met their meetings are never easy, calm or simple. They both push for what they think is best, usually the complete opposite of what the other wants. When Charlotte inherits a piece of land from Gage’s father (a friend who she was unaware of his connection to Gage) Gage is ticked, that his father left family land to some random woman when he expected it to come to him. With Charlotte in the US on a work visa and Gage wanting the land he suggests a compromise, a marriage of convenience. Charlottes gets a green card and he gets the land, what could be simpler? The Total Package

Ok…. honestly? The Evanovich part of Stephanie’s name caught my attention first. (I like Janet Evanovich lol) But Stephanie Evanovich has her own voice and her writing sucked me into her storytelling. I was planning on reading a bit then going to bed-but I looked up on the final page and realized it was 1am!

Maid of Tarts Review of Nicole Flockton’s Tangled Vines

Tangled Vines: An Australian Rural RomanceMaid of Tarts Review of

Tangled Vines

by Nicole Flockton

For such a short sweet read, this story had a plot and wonderful characters. The trend in some short stories is to go from the initial character meeting, hop them into bed, to the happily ever after at the end, with nothing in the middle, skipping what I would call some of the essential parts. There is not much or very little for character development, no full understanding of emotions and usually leaves me feeling like I’ve been duped out of part of the book. Ms. Flockton managed to stuff everything a story needs into a very nice small package.

The Queen of Tarts Review of Katee Roberts’ His To Take

His to Take (Out of Uniform, #3.5)Queen of Tarts review of

His To Take

by Katie Roberts

I adore Katee Roberts science fiction but somehow… *blush* I’d never read her contemporary romances before. So when I saw His To Take was available for review I jumped at the chance! I wasn’t disappointed. This story is the perfect length for a much needed break during this holiday season. I curled up on the couch after work and read it straight through.

The Queen of Tarts Review of Nicole Flockton’s Bound By Their Love

Bound By Their Love

by Nicole Flockton

I’ve been a fan of Nicole Flockton’s since I read her first release, Masquerade, a couple years ago. It’s been fun to watch her backlist grow and I especially enjoy her series novels. Bound By Their Love is the conclusion to her Bound trilogy. Yes! It can be read alone, but I got a kick out of catching up a bit with Luc and Jasmine and Nick and Pam from Bound By Her Ring and Bound By His Desire. The focus of Bound By Their Love is on Jeff and Greta’s rocky road to romance.

The Queen of Tarts Review of Jennifer Bernard’s All Of Me

All of Me (Love Between the Bases, #1)Queen of Tarts review of

All Of Me

by Jennifer Bernard

I’m not a huge sports fan… but I’m a fan of Jennifer Bernard. I love her Bachelor Fireman series and was excited to see what she would do with a baseball team. The romance of Caleb and Sadie didn’t disappoint. I was caught up in their journey and rooting for love to win out over all the obstacles that tried to shut them out of the game.

The Queen of Tarts Review of Dorothy F. Shaw’s Unworthy Heart

Unworthy Heart

by Dorothy F. Shaw

My life has been uncertainty and drama recently and I haven’t made time to read many books…. but when I saw that Dorothy F. Shaw had a new release with Unworthy Heart I wanted to try it. I’m so thankful I did. For a few days I was able to curl up and focus on a Maiya and Ryan’s troubles and put mine on the back burner.

The Queen of Tarts review of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s Twisted

Twisted (Lost in Oblivion, #2)Queen of Tarts review of

Twisted

by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott

There’s just something about rock and roll isn’t there? It intrigues and fascinates us. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott’s Lost In Oblivion series gives breath and color to the lives of the members of Oblivion. They’ve done and amazing job fleshing out the characters and making them well… real. Twisted is the story of Jazz and Gray… I’ve been yearning for this book since I read Seduced the prequel to this series. I’m so happy to say I wasn’t disappointed!
