I am ecstatic to have the beautiful Beth Ciotta visting The Book Tart today! Tomorrow is the official release date of Fool For Love, the first novel in her new contemporary romance series The Cupcake Lovers. (click on the title to see the full synopsis)
I was lucky enough to get a review copy of Fool For Love and read it in one sitting. I am in love with the characters and the town of Sugar Creek. If you enjoy contemporary romances with well drawn, relatable characters, emotion, humor, heart and heat you will love this story too.
I wanted to chat with ya’ll and tell you how much I enjoyed this book in person <g> So I made a vlog! And I bought myself cupcakes in honor of Beth’s book birthday. Yum!
After the vlog I have an interview with Beth and a great contest! I wanted to celebrate the release of Fool For Love by giving it to 2 lucky winners plus a prize pack to the US winner. (details at the bottom of this post)
Me: Hi Beth darling! Welcome to The Book Tart. Come in, come in. Have a seat. *moves books off my virtual couch* There. Can I get you some tea or coffee? And I have cupcakes! We will play tea party like when we were little girls our cups and food are pretend but our imaginations are full. My favorite cupcake flavor varies depending on my mood and the moon. But right now, it’s red velvet *sigh* with cream cheese frosting. What’s your favorite right now?
Beth: Hi, Kat! *cozies up next to the vibrant red head in the cool cupcake dress* I’ll have a cup of java, please, and I can’t believe it. You just named my recent favorite cupcake! Ah, great minds and all that.
Me: Come in, come in. Welcome to The Book Tart, I’m delighted to meet you Paul! I love science fiction and romance and The 5 Moons of Tiiana is the perfect mix of my favorite things. Please take a seat on my virtual couch… can I get you anything? Coffee, tea, Romulan Ale, ummm a soda? I won’t offer you a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster! The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy says it “is like having your brain smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick”. Why would anyone want that?
Paul: Are you sure that isn’t a recipe involving Tequila?
Me: lol That’s one of the many reasons I love sci-fi. Yes, it’s fantastical, but we can relate to it! <g>
I have always loved science fiction and fantasy and can’t wait to talk to you about the genre!
I’m excited to have Delilah visit The Book Tart today! She has a new cowboy anthology out in print on August 14th, 2012 called Cowboy Lust
I had that written in my day-planner for today and was looking at my calendar and a cowboy friend happened to glance over my shoulder. *blush* He asked what that was! lol I explained that it’s a yummy book title :p

Here’s the synopsis
There’s a reason Western romance novels never go out of fashion. The cowboy is an iconic figure embodying the dichotomy of the fiercely independent, earthy alpha male crossed with the male as a nurturer and protector. Cowboys take care of their women in every possible way. Wild and wayward women are gentled by the scent of horse and cow and the sight of sun-kissed skin, the feel of work-hardened thighs and arms, and the sound of a deep-voiced Texas drawl.

Me: Hi Delilah! Welcome to The Book Tart I am so delighted to meet you. Please take a seat on my messy couch *shoves yarn and books off the couch* I just got done browsing your website and am so thrilled to find an author I’d somehow missed *blush* My friend Dawn of http://daydrmzzz.blogspot.com/ told me about your stories and I’m so glad she did. lol that’s what friends do, share the good stuff. 😉 What is something you have been clued in to by a friend or that you made sure a friend didn’t miss out on?
Delilah: The last time I clued a friend into something, it was to tell her about a new Flea Market I found. I love junking!
They ask… Is there a book or a series that gets you all hot and bothered? A hot couple or hero/heroine that makes you all melty? Are you left wanting more or completely satisfied after your read?
Amy Lane’s Little Goddess series immediately came to my mind. I love, love, love these books. I ordered the first book, Vulnerable, from Amazon in 2009 and had to order all the sequels available at that time Wounded and Bound. Since then Amy has released the fourth book, Rampant and some companion stories too. *sigh* I am so in love with Cory and company. So in love with them that I’ve bought this series multiple times, in print for me and a friend and in ebook too.
I asked Amy if she would be my second ever interview for The Book Tart and she graciously said yes! She Rocks! She also gave me a yummy excerpt from Vulnerable. It’s the scene when Cory meets Adrian. *daydreaming* OK I’m back! And as an extra bonus she also is letting me share a short story (click here) set in The Little Goddess world too! I <3 Amy!
The prize for this hop is an ebook of Vulnerable.
(if you own it already, then another title from her books )
Entry form and the link to the other participating blogs is at the bottom of this post.

Hi Kelly! Welcome to The Book Tart. Congratulations on your new release Sweet Deal today from Samhain. I was fortunate enough to get my paws on a reviewer copy and can’t wait to talk to you about it. And Happy Release Day to you… Happy Release Day to you… What? Yes, I’m singing.
Thank you so much! And thanks for interviewing me!
Random side question. Are you one of those people who listen to elevator music/mall music or do you tune it out? I listen to it, but if it’s bad I try to tune it out. I love music.
If Yes, Do you sing in the car? Totally! It’s the only place I’ll sing out loud. Other than maybe church on Christmas Eve when we sing Christmas carols.
I just finished reading Sweet Deal and it is my first time reading your work. I loved the story! I am in love with Jake, though I adore him with Shelby… But, I want a clone of him for me. <g> I get into my feelings more on the story in my review. I want to be friends with Shelby and can relate to some of her insecurities and emotions. And I enjoyed watching the “Sweet Deal” Shelby and Jake had develop into something neither one of them expected.
Can you recommend other books of yours I should try next? Thank you, I’m so glad you liked it! Sweet Deal is one of my less “erotic” books (although it’s still pretty hot!) but if you like straight contemporary romance, my “hockey stories” are pretty popular (Breakaway, Faceoff and One Man Advantage). Also Friends With Benefits is similar to Sweet Deal.
I loved reading about Shelby’s girl friends and hope you have plot bunnies in your brain hopping about with stories for Myra and Riley and eventually maybe Kiara too? And as a side benefit getting to see more of characters I’ve already grown to love. Please tell me you have sequels planned after Sweet Deal?! I do! I hope to write stories for all those girls! Kiara especially deserves a happy ending, don’t you think? But she’ll need some time…
