PS. I just finished Snowbound With A Soldier! It’s darling! Click HERE for my review.

Me: Jennifer! You came back! I’m so happy you’re visiting Tartlandia again. And that you’re celebrating your 2nd book birthday! Come on in hon and get comfy.

Jennifer: Thanks so much for having me again. I’m just thrilled to be here and to have another book to share with you.

Me: Sooo… sit sit. How have you been? Have a cookie. Oh! Can I get you a drink? Coffee, tea, water… something stronger?

Jennifer: Tea, please. I’d be lost without it. 😉 And those cookies look yummy. Chocolate chip, huh? *licks lips and snatches one* What have I been up to? Lots. This year has been a totally amazing whirlwind of activity. I have no idea where thecookie3 summer went. How can it be fall already???

Me: *hands Jennifer her drink and plops unto the couch* Fall means pumpkin spice lattes! And raking leaves and holidays and thinking about being prepared for Christmas but then still not being ready! Are you ever ready for Christmas?

Jennifer: Unequivocally no! No matter how much I try to do ahead of time, there’s that much more that needs done. By Christmas Eve I usually hold up my hands in defeat and let some of the stuff slide. 😉 When all is said and done, it’s having the family together that’s the most important part of the holiday.

Me: *fist bump* Yay! I’m so glad you are not super prepared either and I totally agree. It’s being together with family and friends that makes it special. 🙂

Speaking of Christmas! (like my transition there? ) Your newest release Snowbound With The Soldier has a lot to with holidays and family and forgiveness… Tell me a bit about writing Kara and Jason’s bumpy road to romance please. *munches a cookie samoa cookiesand looks expectantly at Jennifer*

Jenner: Very nice segue. 😉 Christmas plays a big role in Kara and Jason’s relationship. Seven years ago at a Christmas dance Jason dashed Kara’s hopes and dreams when he called off their engagement without explanation. With Kara broken hearted, he packed his bags and skipped town, swearing he’d never come back. He didn’t phone. He didn’t write. Until now…he’s back and he’s hoping to get Kara’s help, but is it too late to mend fences?

Me: I loved seeing Jason reconnect with Kara and both of them be honest and open up with each other…  *sigh* It also made me want to decorate Christmas cookies!

What are you working on now and how do you juggle writing with two cats in the house? Do they get on your keyboard?

Jennifer: I’m working on something a little different. A little glitz. A little more glam. And a little bit of danger. I’m having a ball with it, but my reformed bad boy won’t be on store shelves until the summer of 2014.

But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait that long for another book. SAFE IN THE TYCOON’S ARMS is out March 2014. It’s set in New York City with a sexy businessman who owns one of the finest jewelry chains. Now wouldn’t he be awesome to hook up with? Imagine the dazzling gifts you’d get for birthdays and holidays. *dreamy sigh* This is a story of two people helping each other to heal. Lucas is stuck in the past and resists moving forward. Kate refuses to look back and instead she keeps her eye on the future.

And yes, the furbabies are a HUGE…umm, help. 😉 One of them knows to stay off the laptop, but the other more ornery one does as she pleases. It is never boring around here.

Me:Ha! That’s what I’ve heart about cats! And yay! *couch Snoopy dance* on the new releases! You’re kinda a tease though… glitz, glam and a little bit o’ danger PLUS a story about jewelry and love? Gimme!

Ok. It’s time to get down to business… serious monkey business! 😛

How could you compare your writing process to gardening?

Jennifer: I plant the seed of an idea when I write my synopsis. I let it sit and grow for a bit. Then I prune it a bit and add a bit of water and sunshine and watch it grow into a full idea. Of course by then it needs some weeding to keep it clean and neat. 😉

Me: awwww nice!

I just made up a word dardess please make up a definition and use the word in a sentence. 😛

Jennifer: Dardess – polite version of a swear word???

That was the dardess thing that ever happened to me. 😉

Me:Bwahahaha! love it! You might use the word after this next game. 😛

It’s time for my favorite game now… Madlibs! Cause I still get to ask the questions! *holds pen and pad expectantly* Are you ready?

Jennifer: Hmm…not so sure. Oh okay, let’s give it a try. LOL.

Me: You’ve done awesome! 🙂 You can make your answers as naughty or nice as you’d like 😀

Jennifer: In the spirit of SNOWBOUND WITH THE SOLDIER, I’m going with a snowy theme. This should be interesting, huh? LOL. Can’t wait to see how this turns out. 😉

Top Hat

Jessica Findlay

North Pole

Me: *Chokes* oooo this is good! Here’s your madlibs…..

Madlibs Cure For A Broken Heart

When your SNOWMAN cruelly dumps you the day before your JOLLY anniversary, there’s only one way to mend your PURPLE heart.

KISSING uncontrollably into your pillows won’t solve a thing. It also won’t help to shred your ex-SNOWMAN‘s pictures into a million GLOVES.

What you need is the best kind of revenge: to feel HASTILY fabulous about yourself.

So head to the nearest shopping CABIN and buy a TOP HAT that makes your HANDS look better than JESSICA FINDLAY‘s. Then wear it to the NORTH POLE which your ex frequents, and flaunt your MARSHMALLOWS. All the SNOWBALLS will stare, and your ex will be STEAMY jealous.

He’ll realize what a COLD mistake he made, but it will be too late.

You’ll have already found a rebound SNOW guy who is hanging on your every CARROT!

Me: *snork* Flaunt your marshmallows! Jolly anniversary! I LOVE your holiday themed madlibs. 😀

Awww hon!  <g> You are a darling and I’m so glad we could play again! I look forward to many more visits.

Jennifer: Thanks bunches for having me back. I just love visiting with you. *snatches another cookie or two….or three and slips them in her pocket* And the snacks aren’t bad either. 😉 I hope you’ll have me back again.

Me: Of course! And we can decorate cookies together.

(((hugs))) Kat

Jennifer: Hugs back.

Stepping back into civilian life, Jason looks to Kara for help. But there’s too much water under the bridge; not to mention too much lingering attraction.

But it seems that the mountain weather has other ideas, and when Kara and Jason end up snowbound together they are forced to confront the ghosts of Christmas past.

Jennifer FayeMore Jennifer:

Jennifer Faye has spent most of her life with her nose in one book or another. It was only natural that she dreamed of becoming a romance writer and spinning the tales of the imaginary people running around in her mind. But first life took her on a couple of detours. Refusing to give up on her dreams, she finally succeeded in getting her name on a book cover. She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her very, very patient husband, one amazing daughter (the other remarkable daughter has flown the coop to chase her own dreams) and two spoiled rotten cats. When she’s not glued to her laptop writing another contemporary romance (which isn’t often) or enjoying some family time, she loves to get lost in a good book, cross-stitch, embroider, quilt, knit, watch hockey (go Pittsburgh Penguins!), and garden. Jennifer loves to hear from readers–you can contact her via her website.
