Me: *Squee!* Kristina! You’re here! Come on in and take a seat on my cozy couch. Oh! Oh! Can I get you a drink? I have coffee, soda, water…. Hot chocolate… something stronger? *takes a seat on the couch and pats the cushion* sit!
Kristina: I’d love a soda, Kat, Coke, please…fully leaded! *sits down*
Me: I’m tickled pink to finally have you here at The Book Tart. Oh! I forgot our drinks! *gets up to get them* How are you? How’s your fall and do you have exciting Halloween and/or Thanksgiving plans?
Kristina: Gah, when I saw it was officially fall this week I couldn’t believe it! We’ve been so busy – bebe’s in first grade now, which is amazing but also entails homework! I actually just finished her costume – she’s going to be a pirate fairy…now I need to figure out my own costume. I’m thinking something Elizabeth Swan-ish. ARGH! lol
Me: Awww….a pirate fairy! love it! and you should totally go full argh. 🙂
*hands drinks over and collapses on couch* And you’re busy writing too! Tell me about Start Me Up, the sequel to Light Me Up (!) and what we can look for next. 🙂
Kristina: Start Me Up is book 2 in my rocker series, Call Me, book 3 is on tap for December…this book centers Kat (Lily’s best friend) and Josh (guitarist for Anthem) who gave love a try once before but it blew up in their faces. Will they have the strength to try again? It’s so good! gah!! Oh, and I just got cover art for my first Super Romance from Harlequin. I teared up a little when I saw it – I just love this book and the cover is just perfect! It’s called The Daughter He Wanted and will be out in January.
Me: You are a tease! You know we want to see it. 😉 I’ll be on the lookout cause I’m such a cover girl!
*waves down* check out the yummy cover for Start Me Up!

Well… I’ll let you get back to writing and fall funness. 😉 BUT before I do I am going to get a bit nosy. Are you ready? Hold onto your boots it’s time for a quickie!
The Book Tart Quickie
1. Can you juggle? No, but I can touch my tongue to my nose
my mum can do that too!
2. Have you ever been to Legoland?
Kind of! This summer we hit the LegoLand Discovery Center in Kansas City while we were visiting family. The Discovery Centers aren’t quite as big as the full LegoLand but we did get to ride some rides and make our own mini-figs.
Jealous! I LOVE rides AND legos.
3. What’s the last thing you took a picture of?
My nails! bebe and I did a mommy-daughter manicure last week and I took some pics
4. What type of music do you like?
depends on my mood…lately it’s all country all the time, but if you looked at my iPod you’d find pop, 80s, oldies, country, contemporary christian and a LOT of Christmas music!
I adore holiday music too.
5. What’s your favorite clean word?
Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious. Because who can’t be upset when saying that word??
even though the sound
of it is something quite atrocious!
if you say it loud enough… 😀
6. What was the last film you saw?
RadioMan and I saw Sex Tape a few weeks ago – so funny!
7. What’s the most unusual conversation you’ve ever had?
I’m a writer with writer friends so my conversations do get…weird. But the oddest recent conversation I had was with bebe and it centered around the real-ness of fairies, good witches and magicians.
8. Have you got green fingers?
No. I try with my container gardens but my plants are lucky to last the summer…
Me too! *fist bump*
Non green thumbs unite! 😛
9. Have you ever licked a battery?
Ha! I have! Over the summer the battery in my iPad keyboard seemed to be running down constantly so when I couldn’t get the thing to turn on after just switching, I licked the battery. It was dead.
10. (OOPS!) ummmm I meant to leave out 10…. it’s disappearance IS the question. 😀
Me: *Snork* You are a darling dear for playing with me! Even though I spaced and forgot to give you a quickie tenth question. *head/desk* It was on purpose. 😛
Thank you for indulging my curiosity and for hanging out with me here in Tartlandia! I would adore having you back for a longer visit for your next book… or just cause! 😉
Kristina: Thanks so much for having me over, Kat! I’d love to come back – you’re so much fun!!
